Every year we host a number of different parties celebrating Christmas, New Year or birthdays. We always invite a bunch of friends who are not necessarily are vegans or vegetarians. I always try to make our food more interesting though so even the most fussy eaters would enjoy them.
For one of the parties this year I have made a selection of vegan and vegetarian canapés. This is a great party food, healthy and delicious. Perfectly satisfying before the dinner is served.

20 round croutons
3 small fresh figs
50g soft Goats cheese
Handful roasted walnuts
- Roast the walnuts on the baking tray at 220 C for 5-10 minutes, let them cool.
- Slice figs into the eight chunks.
- Prepare the croutons by spreading the layer of goats cheese then top it with a piece of fig and a walnut.
- Present the goats cheese and fig canapés on the tray.
