Teriyaki tofu served on a bed of green vegetables salad make a satisfying bowl of delicious and tasty food. This straightforward meal can be made with any vegetables you like, stir-fry or rice.
The teriyaki sauce gives tofu amazing flavour, especially when combined with fresh veggies. Bake the tofu in the oven and then combine with the teriyaki sauce.
Homemade Teriyaki tofu its a great healthy option for your lunch. Plenty of protein will also keep you fuller for longer.

1 pack extra firm tofu
2tbsp olive oil
3tbsp dark soya sauce
3tbsp maple syrup
1tsp grated ginger
1 clove garlic
1tsp corn flour
50g sugar snaps
50g fresh spinach
2-3 green onions
1tsp black sesame seeds
1/2 fresh lime
Start with draining the water out of the package of tofu, then wrap the tofu in the paper kitchen towel and squeeze the excess liquid.
Pre-heat the oven to 200 ° C. Using a medium bowl mix tofu chunks and olive oil then spread the tofu onto the medium baking tray. Bake for approx. 30 minutes until golden brown turning the tofu from time to time.
To make the sauce use small saucepan over medium heat. Combine the soy sauce, maple syrup, water, ginger, garlic and corn flour and bring the mixture to boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer until the mixture becomes slightly syrupy, about 5 minutes and set aside.
To prepare the salad; boil the broccoli for 3-4 minutes making sure they are still tender. Use a medium bowl to mix the ingredients; chop the broccoli, sugar snaps and onions. Add Spinach and squeeze juice of fresh lemon.
Once the tofu is baked remove from the tray and mix with the teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds.
Serve teriyaki tofu with the green salad in the bowl.
